If you’re looking for help with cooking safely, lighting and magnification solutions, or other tools to make the best use of your remaining sight, we have a wide range of products at our Resource Centres that you can try out to see what works best for you.

Some of the items we have on display include:

• Gadgets for the kitchen, such as liquid level indicators and talking scales
• Talking clocks and watches
• Symbol canes and other mobility aids
• Handheld and electronic magnifiers
• Easy-to-see home telephones
• British Wireless Fund for the Blind radios
• Synapptic phones and tablets
• Laptop computers with screen reading and magnification software
• Information leaflets on eye conditions and living with sight loss
• Large print crossword books, diaries, calendars, and games

We offer these resources at our Resource Centres, located in Bristol, Thornbury, Cheltenham, Salisbury, Devizes, and Trowbridge, which you can visit by appointment. A Sight Loss Advisor will guide you through the options and help you find the solutions that best meet your needs. There is no obligation to purchase, but most resources are available to order at competitive prices.

For your convenience, we also have local Sight Loss Advice Hubs, which might be closer to where you live, saving you time and travel. Advisors take a selection of aids to the hubs and, upon request, can bring specific equipment for you to try out.
