Support Richard’s epic 130-mile walk for Wiltshire Sight

This May, Richard – a long-time supporter and volunteer with Wiltshire Sight – is setting off on an incredible journey to raise money for people living with sight loss.

Richard, who is blind, will be walking over 130 miles along the South Downs Way and the Clarendon Way, starting in Brighton and finishing at our Salisbury charity shop. By his side will be his guide dog Dilly, along with his friend Mark and Mark’s dog Mimi. The team will be camping along the way and walking through stunning countryside to raise vital funds for our work.

“It’s my way of giving back to a charity that’s helped me and others across Wiltshire,” says Richard.

Richard has supported Wiltshire Sight for many years, and we are extremely grateful for his ongoing commitment. Funds raised from the walk will help us continue delivering face-to-face support across Wiltshire and Swindon, through our Community Sight Loss Advisors and services. We work to ensure that anyone affected by sight loss receives the practical and emotional support they need to navigate the challenges it can bring.

We expect Richard’s walk to finish on a Saturday in May – exact date still to be confirmed – and when he arrives at our Salisbury shop, we’ll be there to welcome him with a well-deserved celebration!

Please show your support by donating to Richard’s fundraising walk. Every mile he walks makes a difference.
