Our Virtual Hubs

Our virtual hubs offer a welcoming online space for people affected by sight loss to connect, share experiences, and exchange tips – all in a relaxed and friendly setting, and accessible from the comfort of your home

These hubs are run in partnership by Sight Support West of England, Wiltshire Sight, and Insight Gloucestershire, meaning they are open to anyone living in the areas we cover. This gives you the opportunity to meet and connect with people from across these regions, broadening your support network.

For Young Adults

Our Young Adults Virtual Hub is designed specifically for visually impaired individuals aged 18 to 30. It’s a supportive space where you can meet others who understand the unique challenges of living with sight loss. Whether you’re looking to connect with new people or simply fancy a chat, this hub is here for you.

Meet Your Host

Our hubs are run by dedicated volunteers with lived experience of sight loss, ensuring you feel right at home. Your host for this hub, Amber, will guide the sessions and create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere.

“Hi I’m Amber and I was born with a sight condition however, I do not let that stop me from doing the things I enjoy. I have been volunteering with Wiltshire sight for 3 years. By starting this group, my aim is to create a safe open space to meet and feel less isolated.”

How to Join

Once you’ve registered, we’ll send you all the details you need to join the Teams sessions. If you’re unfamiliar with Teams, don’t worry – we’re happy to help you get set up and confident in using it. There’s no need to book each time, and you’re welcome to attend as often or as little as you like – there’s no pressure or obligation.
